Murderdolls – To Release First New Album In 8 Years!!!

Murderdolls – To Release First New Album In 8 Years!!!

…Just when you thought all the fun was gone from rock music, you thought wrong, because the inimitable
Murderdolls are back, emerging from a dormant period with their middle fingers to the sky, tongues planted firmly in their cheeks and ready to call out those that haunt today's predictable musical landscape. Their first album in eight years, entitled Women and Children Last, is set for release this summer through Roadrunner Records.

Murderdolls are the Frankenstein brainchild of Joey Jordison and partner-in-grime, Wednesday 13. The band sees Joey step away from his day job and masked role behind the kit in
Slipknot to playing a low-slung lead guitar, while Wednesday serves as the frontman in their macabre rock 'n' roll circus. The duo are ready to breathe new life into the project with a brand new line-up, while their 'fuck you' attitude, devilish glamour and trademark black sense of humor remain firmly in tact.

Joey and Wednesday are excited to bring back their revamped musical monster, exclaiming, "We don't look at this as a return...this is REVENGE! The music scene today is as boring and stale as it was in 2002, when we first formed the band. This time around, everyone is the enemy!"

Comments Joey, "We've waited eight years to make sure, but this is the perfect time to bring Murderdolls back to the world. We've got nothing to lose and nothing to prove. So raise your fist along with us motherfuckers and sorry if you get a bloody nose along the way. It's about to get ugly! Women and Children Last!!!"

Murderdolls are in an undisclosed Los Angeles studio now, laying down tracks for Women and Children Last. Don't say you haven't been warned.
Here’s some shoot from there…

Slipknot drummer to join forces and tour with Rob Zombie this spring and summer!

Slipknot drummer to join forces and tour with Rob Zombie this spring and summer!

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison will spend the spring and summer of 2010 pounding the skins for new labelmate Rob Zombie, who is embarking on a very busy touring schedule.

Zombie said, “Joey is an absolutely crushing drummer and I am thrilled to have him as part of the Zombie family. His amazing skills promise to take the live show to a whole new level of insanity.Jordison also commented, saying, “I am honored, proud and excited to announce that I have joined the ranks as the new touring drummer for Rob Zombie. I’ve been a fan of Zombie’s since the beginning. I’ve toured with them and have always wanted to play for them. When John 5 called me up to ask if I knew any drummers I could recommend, I said, only half-jokingly, ‘Yeah, me!

Jordison is universally recognized as not only one of the best drummers in hard rock, but as one of the most talented skinsmen in music, period. He will be sitting behind the kit for several appearances and tours throughout the year, namely theGruesome Twosome” tour, which features Zombie along with his longtime pal, Alice Cooper, which begins April 26 in Canada and runs through May 5 in Wyoming. Following that historic tour, Jordison will tour alongside Zombie as part of the 2010 Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, which Zombie is co-headlining with Korn. That tour kicks off July 10 in Southern California and runs through August 14 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

This show and set-list is mind blowing, and what better way to kick off than with the ‘Gruesome Twosome’ tour with horror-rock legend Alice Cooper, Jordison said. “I want to thank all the Slipknot fans for their support and the Rob Zombie fans for welcoming me in. The Demonoid Phenomenon is on its way!

Jordison will make his debut with Zombie at the 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards, held on April 8, at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Zombie will be closing out the evening’s awards ceremony with what is sure to be a “must see” performance.

Rob Zombie discuss music & “Hellbilly 2” in radio interview!

Rob Zombie discuss music & “Hellbilly 2” in radio interview!

Renaissance man Rob Zombie has an eternally full plate in balancing directing movies, TV shows and being a musician. Closing out one busy year last year with the release of his take on Halloween 2, the release of his comic-book-come-to-life animated DVD The Haunted World of El Superbeasto and switching labels to Roadrunner Records, Zombie was perfectly set up for another busy year in 2010.

Having hit the ground running as planned, so far this year Zombie has released his long-awaited album "Hellbilly Deluxe 2", directed an episode of CSI: Miami, announced plans to headline this summer's Mayhem Fest as well as a North American run with Alice Cooper (fittingly dubbed the Gruesome Twosome tour), and announced his next film as Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Catching up with the busy man to discuss all of the above and then some is Boise radio station 100.3 the X.

Rob Zombie Says he is “very excited” to be working on CSI: Miami!

Rob Zombie Says he is “very excited” to be working on CSI: Miami!

Filmmaker and musician Rob Zombie will bring his unique style of filmmaking to the streets of Miami on an episode of "CSI: Miami", to be broadcast Monday, March 1 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on the CBS television network. The episode begins production today and is Zombie's television directorial debut.

In the episode, the CSI team discovers that a listening device has been covertly planted at a crime scene, capturing a terrifying soundtrack of the murder and, possibly, the voice of the killer. However, when it's revealed the bug was planted by the team's own Jesse Cardoza, the State's Attorney tosses the taped evidence and uncovers accusations of evidence tampering by Jesse on a murder case in Los Angeles. With the integrity of his team at stake, Horatio Caine and Eric Delko travel to Los Angeles to dig into that murder and clear Jesse's name. While in Los Angeles, Horatio find himself face to face with secrets from Jesse's past and a dangerous element within the LAPD.

"As writers, we were really pushing to create an interesting backdrop that could lend to Rob Zombie's visual style," says Marc Dube, co-executive producer. "We thought opening the episode at a macabre party, with Miami attendees all wearing stylized masks (a la 'Eyes Wide Shut') would be a fun kick-off point for Rob do to what he does best — conveying the cruel and creepy underbelly of humanity."

"I am very excited to be working on a show that has such an intense and unique visual angle on the classic crime drama formula and look forward to putting my own bizarre stamp on the world of 'CSI: Miami'," says Zombie.
