The Parlor Mob: Pictures and video from Toronto show!

The Parlor Mob: Pictures and video from Toronto show!

Two things are unlikely to happen during The Parlor Mob's career.

Firstly, the band's music will never be heard without inviting comparisons to Led Zeppelin and second, nobody who watches them perform live will fail to be entertained.

That much was proven Saturday night, when the New Jersey-based quintet played its second consecutive Toronto date at the Bovine Sex Club, following a Thursday show at Sound Academy.

Here’s some shots from their performance…

Also, David Rosen and Nick Villapiano from Citynews.ca sat down with the band at a rather loud Black Bull before the show to talk about the record, festival season and what it means to be from New Jersey.

Check it out now!

Check out the new Roadrunner Records bands releasing in 2009!

Check out the new Roadrunner Records bands releasing in 2009!

2009 will see some of the newcomers signed to Roadrunner in 2008 releasing their debut albums, so here a taster of things to come.
Roadrunner Records have loaded some demo tracks for each of the bands below to their artists pages.

Check them out:

First to release are The Parlor Mob, who were founded in New Jersey in 2004 and describe themselves as 'straight up rock n roll'. Album “And you were a crow” will be released in March. Go at:
http://www.roadrunnerrecords.ca/artist/The+Parlor+Mob

to check them out.

Next up we have Dommin, dark, romantic goth rockers, with a velvety intense vocalist at the helm. Their as yet to be titled debut is still being worked on, but a demo track can be found at their artist page:
Expect a release around May.

Port Amoral are due to release around the same time as Dommin. Hailing from Canada, the band are a signing from legendary A&R man Monte Conner. "Port Amoral know how to craft songs with hooks and smart arrangements and their developed level of writing made me take notice." he comments.
Judge for yourself and check out the couple of demos in the player at:

Steadlur will release their first single in late March / early April and will follow this with debut album “Everything is nothing” in May. They apparently rock 'like Vikings in party shorts'... and cite influences such as Guns N Roses, Motley and Foos amongst others.
Check out some tracks:

Munity Within may have their roots in New Jersey, but they found their vocalist in Blighty!! They are still working on their yet to be titled album which is due in the autumn, but check out their demos at:

Don’t forget also Killswitch Engage fourth untitled album, Roadrunner expects to release the record in Spring 2009.

Bringing you more news on these bands or others soon!
