Dream Theater: New video interview with James Labrie!

Sophie K of Total Rock radio conducted an interview with vocalist James LaBrie of progressive metal giants Dream Theater when the band played London, England last October.

Dream Theater's new documentary road video for the single "Wither" was directed by Ramon Boutviseth, who did the same honors for the first clip for "A Rite Of Passage". The "Wither" video was shot on location in the U.K. (London, Manchester), France (Paris, Lille) and Rotterdam (the Netherlands) as part of Dream Theater's September/October 2009 headlining "Progressive Nation" tour reaching 15 countries.

Italian photographer Paolo Bianco has uploaded a gallery of musicians (including members of Dream Theater, Anthrax, Katatonia, Dragonforce and Backyeard Babies) photographed with cutting-edge 3D technology, to give the viewer the feeling that the devil's horns or the middle fingers are right "in your face" and popping out of the PC screen.

In order to correctly the see photos, a pair of 3D blue/red glasses is required.

Commented Bianco: "I've been working on this project for quite some time, and every interview I did in person, would end with the question 'Can I please take a photo of you to turn into a 3D object?' — which was met by the musicians with quizzed looks on their faces, but quite some interest too. Finally, I have a small gallery to share with the world. I hope you like them!"

Scott Ian: “Corey Taylor was in Anthrax!”

Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian reveals to Metal Hammer that Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor was 100% part of Anthrax!

Scott Ian, holding a copy of the new issue of Metal Hammer, has spoken to the Metal Hammer podcast about how Corey Taylor was genuinely going to be a part of Anthrax on his downtime from Slipknot/Stone Sour, prior to new ‘thrax vocalist Dan Nelson joining the band.

“Corey Taylor was in Anthrax!” Ian told us. “We just said “bummer, we don’t have John Bush” but it was pretty cool that we were going to have Corey Taylor on the record and for three months, it was actually happening. It was for real, it was not a joke.”
